LEILANI SCORES TOP TEN IN COOR'S LIGHT 150

Nascar Weekly Racing Series Presented by Dodge
Start: 15th     Finish: 9th     Status: Running

South Boston, VA (April 26, 2003) In her first race of the 2003 season, and only her second late model start ever, Leilani Münter scored a top ten finish at South Boston Speedway in the Coor's Light 150. After an impressive test where Leilani turned lap times just 2/10 of a second off the pole position in her first test with Team Bristol, Leilani qualified 15th in a field of 20. Münter managed to work her way through traffic and bring the # 54 Zapf Creation Chevrolet up to 9th place by lap 121, when the race was red flagged for a rain delay. Racing resumed after track officials dried the racetrack and Münter held on for a 9th place finish.

During the event Leilani sent a message to NASCAR Winston West driver Austin Cameron. The rear end of her race car read "Get Well Austin." Cameron was recently sidelined from racing due to illness. Special thanks to our sponsor Zapf Creation, car owner Hermie Sadler, team owner Rick Goodwin, Ralph and Owen Miller, A & E Racecars, and crew chief Jimmy Wrenn.

The Zapf Creation Racing team will return to South Boston Speedway on May 31 for the Late Model 150.
