Los Angeles, CA - (October 21, 2009) Among 133 contestants hoping to be the next green "it" girl, Project Green Search chose Leilani Münter as one of the top ten finalists who will travel to Los Angeles to compete for the win November 4-6.

Project Green Search describes their next green “it girl” as a "woman who wants to take a stand, get noticed, and align her career endeavors with her personal beliefs, to be an advocate for the environment, animal welfare, fair trade, and human rights. She’s a model, spokesperson, host, brand ambassador and all around green model citizen, for progressive, sustainable, ethical companies, from fashion & beauty to cars & computers."

During their time in Los Angeles, the top ten finalists will be interviewed by our judges, filmed, participate in an eco-fashion photo test shoot with green fashion photographer Courtney Dailey, an eco-fashion exhibition, and a “green carpet” party, along with a final challenge to be revealed, to gauge their knowledge, speaking abilities, personality, print work capacity and general ability to serve as a Green Model Citizen, representing forward thinking, sustainable products and services.

All search contestants will be required to donate a minimum 10 hours volunteer time to an environmental non-profit of their choice. Leilani has chosen Global Green USA as the environmental non-profit of her choice. Immediately after the finals, Leilani will be speaking at Opportunity Green at UCLA on November 7-8, and then a solar conference in Phoenix on November 9. Stay tuned for updates.
